The pet food producer VAFO Group has commenced a new phase of collaboration with the Swedish wholesaler of pet food products Lupus Foder AB. The new agreement gives VAFO a majority stake in the Swedish company, thus further strengthening VAFO’s position as the market leader in Scandinavia.
VAFO Group has acquired the majority stake after more than a decade of collaboration with Lupus Foder AB, during which representatives of both companies have also developed very good friendships. The successors to the family-run Swedish company, Tobias Andersson, Helena Hallström, a Svante Larsson, have kept a minority stake and will remain in their management positions, helping to implement a joint plan to further bolster the company’s standing in the Swedish pet food market.
This latest Scandinavian acquisition strengthens VAFO Group’s leading position in the local pet food market. Production of the popular Lupus private label FourFriends will continue at VAFO Group factories.
